In second Grade I made some great memories. I will miss all my friends and Mr. Cheung. I also have so many memories with Ms. Forney in music class. In music class I loved when we learned new songs. I really loved when we learned the Hello Song, it was my favorite.

My Classmates are so much fun to play with and talk to because they are nice to me and We had fun times playing games like Among Us, Treasure Hunt and Good Morning Your Majesty. I love that my friends support me. I hope I have the same Classmates for 3rd grade.

I love when Ms. Seager taught us new crafts, my favorite craft was making a family portrait it  was so much fun! I also really liked making puppets  I use them to play with my sister. Now I know how to make the puppets and I can teach my baby sister.

Mr. Cheung can you come with me to 3rd grade? I am going to miss you soooo much!! Second grade was so much fun because of you. I remember when you helped me learn so many things on the computer. I like when you gave us the marble project and building a bird house project I had so much fun making them. Thank you for helping me since kindergarten I wish you also came with me to 3rd grade you are the best teacher!!!

I can’t believe 2nd grade is about to be over it was so exciting even if it was only through our laptops. I hope to be back in school for the 3rd grade. I hope to see all my friends and Mr. Cheung soon. I will miss you 2nd grade

Hi I am Abigail and I live in a house out in the woods. My home is surrounded my big tall trees and I have a small blue and yellow wood wagon outside my house to help me store my lumber that I use for fire. One day I went outside to cut some lumber, while I was chopping away I noticed a small seed that was super sparkly. I stopped what I was doing and went to look. The seed looked like boba round and like if it had jelly inside. I reached to touch the seed but I was kind of nervous but still went and grabbed the seed anyway…. The moment I touched it I felt tingly all over my body. I started to glow and sparkly like the seed, I had never felt something like that before. I got scared and dropped it on the ground and the seed stopped glowing… but I didn’t feel like myself anymore I felt different.

I ran and grabbed my wagon but my wagon felt so light like a feather but I grabbed it and ran back inside my house. Inside my house I felt safe but I felt like I was getting stronger and I didn’t know why.. I went back outside and looked at my wagon full of lumber, I got close and I felt like I could left it. So I grabbed the handle and pulled up, I thought it would be heavy but I must have lifted to fast that the wagon flew up in the air and all the lumber went crashing down every where!! The wagon must have weighed 100 thousand pounds but it was now super light like paper. Wow I couldn’t believe I had super strong powers!! The seed gave me these powers!

The next day I kept thinking why me and why did I have these strong powers? I decided that I would use my super powers to help people all over the world some how.  I went into the city to see if anyone needed my help. When I got to the city I didn’t know how I could help but then a man yelled Help!! I looked back and started running toward the man. He yelled help me this lady stole from me please help stop her!! I went running after the women she was wearing black shorts and a pink and blue shirt with a black cat on it. The women ran so fast, then all of the sudden she stopped running and looked back at me…. She said its you!!! I also stopped running and said “me”? I knew you would come to look for me and now that you found me I will finish you…. I said huh? What are you talking about? Then I realized maybe the seed gave me the powers of someone else? I knew I had to stop her. She pulled out a big sword and ran towards me. I was able to kick the sword off the evil womens hands and then grabbed her and toss her toward the wall of the building. It felt so easy to grab her and toss her.  The man run up to me and said Thank you for stopping her… Then I looked toward the evil women and she started to disappear I wanted to know how she knew I had powers but she vanished! The man was so happy I helped him and that made me feel so good. I knew it was what I wanted to use my powers for to help people in need that made me feel good but I know now that it was not going to be easy and that there where bad guys that somehow knew about my powers and are going to come after me.

I will go back into my home in the woods and prepare myself for what was coming. I need to be ready to defend myself and help stop bad people.

 

 

My Dad and Mom took me to DisneyWorld to celebrate my 8th birthday early. It was the best vacation EVER!!! My baby sister wasn’t as excited because she’s a baby but she loved the Resort and the pool that was her favorite place.  I didn’t want to come back…. Here are some pictures of all the fun I had.

This is me and my dad on the airplane. It was my first time on a plane. I was so excited!!

This was our room. My baby sisters favorite place. We stayed at the Bay Lake tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It was so fun!

The first day we went to Magic Kingdom. It was my favorite place and my favorite ride was The Seven Dwarfs mine train ride. I got to ride on it twice!! It was sooooo fun!

Then we went to Epcot and I got to celebrate my birthday in Japan!! It was so cool they even gave me a chef hat. I got to see all over the world in Epcot and got on the Frozen ride.

Then we went to Hollywood Studios. I got to see a Pixar parade and ride Mickey and Minnie runway mine train.

Next we went to Animal Kingdom!! I loved it there. I got to be a wilderness explorer and earn badges. We went on a Safari and ate some delicious food. I didn’t want to leave. I got on the Dinosaur ride it was so scary!! But I had so much fun on my vacation to DisneyWorld I hope I can go again soon.

Preparations:

To prepare for the project I drew a picture of how my birdhouse would look like. I knew I needed a square box so I found one from a box of cookies my nina baked for us. Then I needed to find a stick to hold the birds so they could go in the box to eat. I also got paint to color the box so the birds can see how pretty it is and come to eat. I got some string I found and tape so I can hang my birdhouse in a tree. It was a lot of work to look for everything around my house. The stick I found was from a popsicle I ate that was the best part! 

 

Building:

The first thing I did was to look for a square box then I looked for paint and tape. I also needed  glue just in case and popsicle sticks and some scissors also. This is what I actually ended up using in my birdhouse.

• String
• Tape
• Paint 
• Glitter glue 
• Popsicle sticks 
• Pipe cleaners 
• Part of a fork
• Scissor 
• And paint brushes
• Also sunflower seeds

Once I found my house which was the square cookie box I started to cut the windows and the door where the birds go in. After the windows and door was cut I started to paint the house different bright colors. Then I cut a whole at the top to put a string through it and I tape the inside of the hole with the string to hold it in place. I made sure to use a pipe cleaner inside to tie the string so that it stays put when I tape it and it is strong enough to hold the birdfeeder.

I taped 2 popsicle sticks together and opened a hole in the back of the birdhouse so that I could have sticks come out the windows. At first I didn’t do it but then I thought it is nice for the birds to have more places to stand on. My mommy broke a fork and we made sure we tape it so that it wasn’t sharp and I placed it outside the door for the birds to stand on, it felt strong so I know it will hold them if they stand on it. I had put some pipe cleaners but that was not strong enough so I changed it to the fork.

I put lots of tape on the top of the box so in case it rains the water can slide down and not hurt my birdhouse.

I put sunflower seeds inside the bird house and I went outside and we placed the birdhouse in the tree in my backyard. It looked so cute there.

Everything I needed for my birdhouse was at home! Except for the sunflower seeds my nina got them for me.

 

Testing:

 I wanted to put my birdhouse in a tree so me and my mommy went to the front yard but I didn’t see any birds and also didn’t see a good tree to put it in. I wanted it to be kind of high up so the birds can see it. We went to my backyard and I saw the perfect tree! The tree is big and I remember when we water the tree little birds go inside to get wet. So I knew the birds would like this tree the best.

We had to look around for a strong branch to tie the birdhouse in. We put it in different areas to test it but had to move it around because it wasn’t too strong. I found the best area and it goes a little inside the tree and a place the birds can see easily. The food inside stayed in perfectly so we tied it there. We pulled it to make sure it was not going to fall down. I took a picture of where it was. 

I stayed outside for a little while to see if I saw any birds come in but nothing happened.

On the second day I went to check outside and still no birds. My dad told me we just had to give it more time. Today after 4 days, in the morning my mommy heard birds in the backyard and I went to look out of the window and saw 4 birds eating from my birdhouse! I was soooooooooo happy! I saw 2 birds down at the bottom of the birdhouse and 2 on the birdhouse one was outside the door and the other was on the window and then would take turns with the 2 birds at the bottom. I went to get the phone to take a picture and opened the back door and the birds flew away. I was so sad but next time I will try to take it from my mommies window or open the back door more carefully. I can’t wait to see then again. It’s nice they came to eat on Easter morning that was so special.

 

Facts:

The bird feeder is  10  inches tall.

The bird feeder is attached to   a branch with a string .

The food inside the bird feeder contains   sunflower seeds.

My name is Jim, I deliver food to people’s homes.  One Monday, I had to deliver a pepperoni pizza to a scary house  on Willow Street.  I parked my blue and red car and walked up the cute  little path and I saw the huge and scary  house. All around there were scary statues and spider webs. When I looked at the door I saw something red it looked like blood.

I rang the black and spider web doorbell, but nobody came to open the door.  So I gave it a little push and it is not locked.  I yelled “Hello?” and a fat creepy person came down the stairs. He had a white face with dark circles in his eyes and he had blood on his shirt. I was so terrified!

The person told me to come in and wait.I stood in the kitchen and waited. While I was waiting, I looked around and noticed a lot of unusual things. I saw a person look at me and then the person was gone! I wanted to run away. 

When the person returned after some time, I noticed something different. I saw a key on his hand, before the key was brown and now all of a sudden the key turned blue.That was it for me I threw the pizza and ran out the door.

 

My Invention is called the Clean-O-Matic robot. I invented this so it can help people in the world clean up after making a mess. Clean-O-Matic can help you clean up a mess in seconds. It cleans up your toys, picks up your kitchen mess and makes your bed. This will help people have more free time instead of worrying about cleaning. I came up with this idea because people in the world need help cleaning up. My invention will cost only $100 dollars so all the people can buy it. 

My invention is made up of steel metal and cans. Inside my Clean-O-Matic robot I put a motor and you will need AA batteries that you can buy at Costco to make it work. It’s going to have a control that has 6 buttons the first button is the Talk button which is the button you push to talk to your robot. The Second is the Go button you push so your Clean-O-Matic robot can start cleaning up the mess. The third button is the Stop button so the robot can stop cleaning up. The fourth button is the Vacuum button and that makes the robot extend its arm to start vacuuming. The fifth button is the On button to start your Clean-O-Matic robot and the last button is the off button to turn your robot.

My inventions will be useful to help people clean up in the world and give people more free time to do fun things. This will make people have a happier life. They won’t have to worry about cleaning so much.

 

 

 I think Mr Cheung should give Kaylee a kindness award. Kindness means you are nice to others and you show it by your actions. That is why I nominate Kaylee for this award.

Kaylee is a kind person. I noticed in zoom Kaylee helps others when we are problem solving like when one of my classmates needed help with a problem he didn’t know the answer too, Kaylee was able to help him. If someone needs help with their problems Kaylee is a great helper. I remember one time when I was playing basketball at school I didn’t know how to shoot the ball through the hoop, and Kaylee came and showed me that I needed to back up and keep my eye on the ball to make the basket and that really helped me I was able to make the shot and scored one point!

Kaylee has also shown her kindness by helping Cecilia when she was upset and walked away Kaylee said really nice things about her to make her feel better. I think it’s important to make others feel good if they are not having a good day. I also think Cecila is a great person. I am so happy to have such great classmates even if we only see each other online.

The story I enjoyed the most is the Three Billy Goat Gruff. 

The story of the Three billy goat gruff is about 3 billy goats who had to go looking for food because the hillside where they lived had turned brown and dry. The three billy goats left their home to look for some green grass to eat over the hill. To get over the hill they had to go through a bridge, but under the bridge there was a bad-tempered troll and the troll would not let the goats cross to the other side of the bridge. The troll wanted to eat the billy goat gruff because he was hungry too. The billy goats end up tricking the troll into letting them cross telling the troll that there was a bigger goat coming and he should not eat them because they were small. Finally the big goat crossed the bridge he ended up fighting the troll and knocking him over the bridge. The troll fell into the water and was never seen again. The Three billy goat gruff lived happily ever after.

 

The reason I enjoyed this story was because the billy goat gruff were very smart to trick the troll. The smaller goats knew that by telling the troll there was a bigger goat coming that they would be safe. The small goats knew the bigger goat was strong and could fight the bad-tempered troll. It was funny to read that the big goat knocked over the troll with his big horns. At first I was afraid for the goats so I was so relieved that the goats made it over the bridge to eat.  It was a fun story to read!

 

I feel like I could relate a bit to this story because I also have to figure out every day how to use different tricks and ideas to speak. Since I was 3 years old I get bumpy words and I struggle at times to read aloud and talk without pausing and stopping to think about my words before I say them. I feel like my bumpy words are like the troll the billy goats had to defeat. I have to take speech therapy to learn different tricks and ways to speak so that I can overcome my bumpy words. I feel like the big goat sometimes because I know how smart I am and I can overcome my bumpy words. Lots of people don’t even know that I have bumpy words and they don’t see how I struggle with my speaking. Everyday I feel like I knock the troll into the water!

On Saturday my Dad and my Mom and I went to our old house to finish moving out finally!  My mom said I can be the project manager, but at first I did not know what a project manager was but then when my mom explained to me, then I understood. When we got there I got  to boss my parents around. I told them to begin working on clearing the kitchen, It was a little bit hard being a project manager because I never bossed my parents around. Since I was the project manager I decided where to begin,and at the end of the day we finally finished. It was exhausting but so much fun.
